On the Way to Teach Sustainability, Beta-Testing the ERPsim Sustainability Game

  • Mankind is grappling with the consequences of man-made climate change. Despite widespread neglect, companies are now compelled to act. In Europe, the EU taxonomy and CSRD reporting require companies to report on sustainability and to make significant reductions in CO2e emissions. Consequently, the ERPsim simulation games must be adapted to remain relevant in the educational simulation market. The ERPsim Lab developed a new version of the Manufacturing games. In the summer semester of 2023, a beta version of this game was tested with students of the University of Applied Sciences, Hochschule Emden/Leer. Feedback from the lecturer, students, and from the ERPsim Lab on the game as well as recommendations on the game usage.
